Penataran is the largest and most important Hindu temple complex in East Java. It lies just 10 Kilometers north of Blitar on the lower slopes of Mt. Kelud. It had said that this temple was dedicated to the Siva and use for at least three hundred years, from the 12th to 15th centuries.
Tambakrejo Beach is located about 30 km from Blitar city, in Tambakrejo village, Wonotirto district. In this location, in every first Suro month (the new year in Java calendar) is performed a "Larung Sesaji" ceremony, and visited by thousands people from various areas.
Grave of Aryo Blitar is located in Blitar sub-district, Sukorejo district, Blitar city about 2 km towards west side of the city. This grave is crowded at Sura month as well as every Friday night (Jum'at Legi).
Embultuk Cave is a natural cave with beautiful stalagmite and stalactite. Embultuk cave is located in Tumpakkepuh village, Bakung district, to the south of Blitar city with a distance of about 40 kilometers.
Gebang Palace (House remain ‘Bung Karno’) is Soekarno’s parents’ residence. This palace is not far from Bung Karno Grave about 2 km southerly, precisely in Sultan Agung street 69, Blitar. In that house, always held an event called ‘Haul’, which visited by many people, and a lot of artistry that presented in Haul event.
In 1945, Blitar city has become the center of PETA rebellion army, fight against Japan army that is leading by a Soedanco Soepriyadi. To honor the hero, it built a Monument, which located in front of ex-PETA station, precisely in Soedanco Soepriyadi Street.
One of the tourist attractions in Blitar municipality is the tomb of Soekarno, an Indonesian proclamation reader and the first President of the Republic of Indonesia. It is located at 60 Slamet Riyadi Street, Bendogerit village, Sunan wetan district, about 2 kilometers from Blitar city.
Rambut Monte tourism is located in Krisik village, Gandusari district, more or less 30 km from town Blitar. This temple is an altar for Hinduism at Majapahit Empire era.
